From Mines to Activewear Dreams

For two decades, our lives revolved around the mining industry — demanding, fulfilling, but after 20 years we knew it was time for a complete career pivot. That's when Trudi, a lifelong fitness enthusiast, and her husband Mick had a brilliant idea: design and open their own activewear store.

Trudi's vision was clear from day one — high-quality, affordable activewear for every body. She'd noticed a real gap in the market: a lack of options in larger sizes. So we made it our mission to fill that gap, offering the full range from XS to 3XL. We believe everyone deserves to feel confident and comfortable in their activewear, regardless of shape or size.

In 2016, we started small with pop-up shops, building relationships and learning exactly what our customers loved. 12 months later, we opened our first brick-and-mortar store in Coolum Beach — a dream come true. Since then, we've expanded to the Eumundi Markets, connecting with even more of the Sunshine Coast community.

Today, Gmaxx is known for premium skorts built for golf, tennis, lawn bowls and pickleball, along with leggings and everyday activewear designed to move with you — and to flatter the areas you're most conscious of. Many of our customers come back again and again, in-store and online, and their support is what keeps us designing.

Our Brand

Gmaxx is an independent activewear label, designed and based in Coolum Beach on Queensland's Sunshine Coast, and crafted in collaboration with a family-owned, ethical manufacturing partner in Pakistan. We design hard-wearing, practical, durable activewear — in sizes XS through 3XL — for sport, gym, walking, or everyday comfort.
